Title: The CENI receives the physical files of candidates for national deputy
Introduction :
The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) is taking a new step in the electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Indeed, the CENI has begun to receive at the headquarters of the institution the physical files of candidates for national deputies. A step that marks the progress of preparations for the legislative elections.
Reception of physical files:
After the closing of the operations of addition, withdrawal or substitution of the candidatures for the national deputy, the CENI asked the 26 Provincial Executive Secretaries to individually convey the physical files of the candidates. This measure aims to ensure the effective receipt of files at the CENI Archives Directorate, where each file will be examined.
A rigorous process:
The first Provincial Executive Secretary to have undergone this exercise is Heir Weteto Impate of the province of Tshuapa. He made a point of stressing that his province registered a total of 225 files, including 53 for political parties, 171 for political groups and an independent candidate. Among these candidacies, 40 are those of women and about 230 are those of men for the 9 seats that the province has in the national deputies.
Control and verification:
The Provincial Executive Secretary of Kwilu, Jean Robert Muyansi, congratulated the members of the Offices of Reception and Processing of Candidatures of his jurisdiction for the quality of the work done. He explained that the control and verification of files will be done using a transmission and receipt slip for physical files, the B6. This document will ensure the traceability of files intended for the Constitutional Court and the CENI Office.
Conclusion :
The receipt of the physical files of the candidates for national deputies marks an important step in the ongoing electoral process in the DRC. The CENI works rigorously to examine each case and guarantee the transparency and fairness of the upcoming legislative elections. The next steps in the electoral process promise to be crucial, and the focus is now on what happens next. Let us therefore remain attentive to future developments that will shape the Congolese political landscape
