“The Kasaï in the DRC: a bill for the management of effluents in order to protect the environment”

Kasaï is a province of the Democratic Republic of Congo which has recently faced environmental problems. Olivier Tombé, provincial deputy, has tabled an edit proposal aimed at providing the province with a tool to manage effluents of river and domestic origin in order to protect the environment. “Today you will find that the atmospheric conditions have influenced the transformation of the environmental fabric, that is why we have heads of erosion everywhere, diseases of hydraulic origin, the poor management of household water”, explained the deputy .

This is the first bill on the management of rainwater and domestic effluents in Kasai province, according to sources from Politico.cd, a DRC news site. This initiative aims to improve and strengthen environmental management in the province, by seeking the collaboration of the population.

It is essential to remember that protecting the environment is a key issue and that it is important to implement concrete policies and practices to limit the negative impacts on this ecosystem. The filing of this proposed edit is therefore a step forward for the province of Kasai and an awareness of sustainable development.
