Kasai Central has launched the 2023 edition of the National Primary School Leaving Examination. This year, 62,107 candidates, including 29,233 girls, are preparing to take the exams to obtain the Primary School Certificate. .
However, an increase in the number of applicants was noted compared to last year, which totaled 58,809 applicants.
The exams will take place over two days and will focus on classic subjects such as French, Mathematics, General Culture and Sciences.
The deputy governor of Kasaï Central, Martin Makita Mfuamba, justified this increase by the efforts made by the various parties, in particular the Congolese State, which made basic education free for all children.
In addition, in order to avoid any attempt at fraud and cheating during the exams, the chief provincial inspector of Kasaï Central 1, Pierre Daniel Kasongo, reminded candidates of the importance of answering using a blue or black pen, d avoid erasures and overwriting, and above all to remain calm during the tests.
The launch ceremony took place at the Diakaja Primary School in the Commune of Katoka.
