“Review of the diplomatic journey of the Secretary General of Udps / Tshisekedi in the Paris-Brussels axis: a series of productive meetings”

The Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, Augustin Kabuya, traveled along the Paris-Brussels axis from May 19 to 26, 2023 with a delegation. This trip was loaded with meetings with party members in various countries, the Secretary General of the Socialist International, diplomats, political leaders and even members of the Udps community.

Upon his arrival at Zaventem airport, he was warmly welcomed by militants and executives of his party as well as those of other Udps allies, led by the Federal President of Belgium and the National Secretary in charge of external relations, Ange Pabolangi.

The Secretary General had an intense political activity with many meetings. He met successively with the members of the Federations of Great Britain and Belgium, those of the section of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a dozen young people from the “Autre vision du Congo” party, members of the federations of the Low and from Germany. All these people thanked and congratulated the Secretary General for his commitment and his expertise.

Augustin Kabuya also visited the DRC Embassy in Belgium to discuss questions on the state of the diplomatic mission, the passport shortage situation, communication with other embassies and the opposition march on May 20. . He also met the Secretary General of the Socialist International, Mrs Benedicta Lasi, who came to discuss the prospects of the organisation.

The Secretary General visited Alexandre Ngyekama, Federal President hospitalized at the Gonesse Hospital Center in the Ile de France region, with a message of comfort and support. He also met with several members of the French federation, including the federal vice-president, the mobilization officer, the media and communication officer and the Ile de France sectional president.

This trip was an opportunity for the Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi to personally meet members of his party and discuss internal and external issues. Let’s hope that this political activity strengthens the base of the Udps on an international scale.
