The article we are going to discuss today concerns the recent handover and takeover ceremony of the Board of Directors of the Régie des Voies Aériennes (RVA). This ceremony marks the passing of the baton between the outgoing team and the incoming team, following the presidential orders published on July 8, appointing new agents within certain public companies.
One of the important points of this change is the retention of Alphonse Shungu Mahungu in his post as General Manager of the RVA. Now accompanied by Mayaya Kawaasa as Deputy Managing Director, he will continue to lead this company that regulates Congolese airspace.
In addition, the new Chairman of the RVA Board of Directors is Tryphon Kin-Kiey Mulumba, who replaces Bienvenu Liyota Ndjoli. The latter, during his acceptance speech, expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the trust placed in him during his three years at the head of the Board of Directors. He also thanked the entire staff of the RVA and welcomed the achievements made under their leadership.
Indeed, thanks to the use of public funds and its own means, the RVA has managed to emerge from its immobility and has become a well-functioning society. Work to modernize airport infrastructure and air navigation aid equipment is developing rapidly in different regions of the DRC, thus testifying to the positive development of the RVA.
Despite the challenges encountered in operation, the former PCA stressed that the operational capabilities of the RVA are maintained thanks to the competence of its technical staff. He is also delighted with the social peace that reigns within the company despite a difficult macro-economic context.
In conclusion, the new PCA of the RVA, Tryphon Kin-Kiey Mulumba, affirmed that the new management team will work in the interest of the company and its staff. He also supports the General Manager in his mission and promises to do everything possible to ensure the development and sustainability of the RVA.
This handover and takeover ceremony marks a new chapter for the RVA, which continues its work to guarantee the safety and quality of the Congolese airways
