“Augustin Kabuya, Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, is carrying out a fruitful political mission in Europe”

Augustin Kabuya, Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, recently carried out a political mission to Paris and Brussels. Accompanied by a delegation of members and executives of his party, the SG was warmly welcomed at Zaventem airport by activists from the Udps as well as by its allies, led by the Federal President of Belgium.

During his mission, Augustin Kabuya met with several delegations, including members of the Federations of Great Britain and Belgium, as well as those of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the party “Autre vision du Congo”. The discussions focused on the situation of the major problems that would weaken the different federations, as well as on the importance of sincerity, unity and non-exposure of party problems in social networks.

SG Augustin Kabuya also traveled to Paris to meet members of the French federation. They discussed the current state of the activities of the federation, the preparations for the presidential election, as well as the financial and material means for the federation. At the end of the afternoon, the SG visited Alexandre Ngyekama, federal president hospitalized at the Gonesse hospital center in the Ile de France region, with a message of comfort and support.

Back in Brussels, the SG received several delegations, including those from the Netherlands and Germany who came to meet the manager of the ruling party. The following day, the SG welcomed Benedicta Lasi, Secretary General of the Socialist International, to Zaventem airport for constructive discussions on the prospects of the organization.

This mission ended with a meeting with the Udps community of Belgium in the NH Brussels Carrefour room in Brussels, where the SG exchanged with hundreds of fighters.

This high-level mission illustrates the dynamics of the Udps and the importance of unity and discipline for the political party. The meetings between the SG and the various delegations made it possible to discuss the major current political issues and to provide guidelines for the conduct of the policy.
