The mission of the Secretary General of Udps / Tshisekedi, Augustin Kabuya, in the Paris-Brussels axis from May 19 to 26, 2023 was the subject of numerous meetings and exchanges with various members of the party and other personalities. Augustin Kabuya was greeted with enthusiasm at Zaventem airport by activists and executives of his party as well as those of other Udps allies, led by the Federal President of Belgium and the National Secretary in charge of External Relations, Angel Pabolangi.
The Secretary General met with several delegations, including those of the Federations of Great Britain and Belgium as well as that of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. These delegations expressed their support and appreciation for the work done by Augustin Kabuya. The SG was also invited to comment on the situation of the major problems which weaken the federation across the Channel. He also encouraged the members of the Federal Committee of Belgium to be more sincere, unified and not to expose party problems in social networks.
Back in Paris, Augustin Kabuya had talks with members of the federation in France to discuss issues of the current status of the activities of the federation, preparations for the presidential election, financial and material means for the federation. He also visited Alexandre Ngyekama, Federal President hospitalized at the Gonesse Hospital Center in the Ile de France region, with a message of comfort and support.
Back in Brussels, Augustin Kabuya received in audiences several individuals and especially members of the federations of the Netherlands and Germany. He also welcomed his distinguished guest Mrs. Benedicta Lasi, Secretary General of the Socialist International, who had come from Germany in discussion with the Spd party. A meeting was organized with Mr. Philippe Close, 1st Vice-President of the Belgian Socialist Party and Mayor of Brussels to discuss the situation of relations between the Udps and the Belgian Socialist Party as well as the activities of President Félix – Antoine Tshisekedi .
This trip by Augustin Kabuya in the Paris-Brussels axis aroused many reactions and testifies to the importance of the work accomplished by the secretary general of Udps/Tshisekedi for the promotion and defense of the cause of his party.
