Victor Batubenga Pandamadi, at the head of a delegation from the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF), recently paid a visit to Mbuji-Mayi, in the province of Orientale. The objective of this visit was to take stock of the local development program of the 145 territories, a flagship initiative of the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi.
The delegation was received by the Attorney General of the province, Maurice Kama, to discuss the progress of the program. Victor Batubenga stressed the importance of this meeting to resolve certain constraints encountered in the field and facilitate the implementation of the program. He also took the opportunity to assess the mission of the finance inspectors already present in the province, by reviewing the files and giving new directives to improve their performance.
The 145 territories initiative aims to develop and modernize infrastructure in each territory of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This is an ambitious program that will stimulate the local economy, improve the living conditions of the inhabitants and reduce regional disparities. However, its implementation encounters challenges and obstacles that require constant coordination and monitoring by the General Inspectorate of Finance.
The IGF plays a key role in evaluating the efficiency and transparency of public investments. Its involvement in monitoring the local development program is therefore essential to ensure that the funds allocated are used wisely and in accordance with established standards and procedures.
This visit to Mbuji-Mayi underlines the commitment of the Congolese government to implement development projects in favor of the population. The General Inspectorate of Finance plays a key role in this process by ensuring the proper management of financial resources and ensuring that projects are carried out within the time limits and in accordance with the objectives set.
In conclusion, the visit of the delegation of the General Inspectorate of Finance to Mbuji-Mayi highlights the importance given to the local development program of the 145 territories in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The IGF plays a crucial role in overseeing and evaluating this program to ensure its effective and transparent implementation. It is essential to ensure that public investments are truly used to improve the living conditions of Congolese citizens and to promote the socio-economic development of the country
