“Quality schools in Kasaï-Oriental: An important step towards education for all”

The schools built as part of the local development program for 145 territories (PDL 145) in Kasaï-Oriental are a real satisfaction for officials and students. These new infrastructures will not only improve study conditions for students, but also create a more conducive working environment for teachers.

In the territory of Lupatapata, three schools have been built and will be ready for use from next September. These are EP Bakua Tshilanda, EP Bakua Nzevu and EP Bakua Tshibuyi. These establishments are being equipped with desk benches by the agencies that won the contract following a call for tenders launched by the Central Coordination Office (BCECO).

Before the construction of these schools, students studied in precarious conditions. Some buildings were made with rudimentary materials such as bamboo, vines and earth. Some institutions did not even have blackboards for teaching. The implementation of these new infrastructures will therefore make it possible to guarantee a more adequate learning environment for the pupils.

But these schools are not just limited to buildings. They are also equipped with solar kits that will supply the buildings with electrical energy. This will ensure access to electricity, which is essential for many educational activities, and thus improve working conditions for teachers.

According to Jean Mabi, Director General of BCECO, all schools built under PDL 145 follow a standard model that meets quality standards and requirements. This is a significant step forward in the field of education, offering more opportunities to students and contributing to the development of the region.

In conclusion, the construction of schools as part of PDL 145 in Kasaï-Oriental is a real step forward for education. These new infrastructures offer improved study conditions for students and working facilities for teachers
