Lubumbashi, Saturday June 3, 2023, the Republican Coalition for Democracy and Federalism (CRDF) organized the establishment of the members of the national committee and the various party structures for the next elections. This packed room was visited by the President of the Republic’s representative in Greater Katanga Michel Kabwe, who came to support the speeches of Juvenal Kitungwa, national president of the CRDF.
This disastrous day of political demonstrations is part of a desperate attempt to restore the image of provincial deputy Juvenal Kitungwa Lugoma, who recently slammed the door of Unafec to join the CRDF. During his speeches, Juvenal Kitungwa promised a second term for incumbent President Felix Tshisekedi and an unchallenged parliamentary majority. He also recalled that the party’s vision was to fight for democracy, the rule of law and federalism, for the triumph of ‘People First’.
In response, the project manager Michel Kabwe encouraged the activists of the CRDF for their strong mobilization which testifies to a better tomorrow for the Sacred Union. He stressed the importance of frank cooperation to the national president of the CRDF, while asking the cadres and activists to fight for their political careers.
According to our sources, this day was a great success for Juvenal Kitungwa, who was obviously trying to give himself a new political image. Let’s hope that the new actions of the CRDF will be in favor of democracy and federalism in the DRC, given the crucial stake of these upcoming elections in the country.
