The “Le Parrain” Foundation organized the 2nd edition of the Young Congolese Entrepreneurs Fair at the Pullman Lubumbashi, on June 1, 2023. Winners of the first edition in Kinshasa were present to share their experiences. Congolese entrepreneurs featured at this event have successfully created successful businesses.
The Vice-Governor of the Province of Haut-Katanga was also present at this summit. He encouraged young entrepreneurs in their journey and acutely underlined the importance of entrepreneurship in job creation and national economic growth. On the occasion of this show, each entrepreneur had the opportunity to defend his project to obtain start-up financing and adequate support.
The “Le Parrain” Foundation aims to facilitate the creation of opportunities for young Congolese entrepreneurs and to be the incubator for various projects that highlight their potential. The five selected emerging entrepreneurs benefited from the support of this Foundation by receiving a check for 10,000 US dollars for the start of their project under the watchful eye of the experts of the “The Godfather” Foundation.
The show ended with a visit to the stands and left a good impression on the participants. The Foundation invites participants to the next summit to be held in another region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
An event like this shows how much entrepreneurship is a unique opportunity for the development of the DRC, and the “Le Parrain” Foundation demonstrates that young Congolese entrepreneurs have the possibility of creating innovative and sustainable projects.
