The 2023 national primary school leaving exam was launched this Thursday, June 01 in the educational province of Kasaï Central 1. The launch of this exam is part of the vision of the Head of State to make basic education free. Martin Makita Mfuamba hailed the President’s tireless efforts for primary education. He pointed out that thanks to this policy, all Congolese children, from rich or poor families, have access to education without paying fees.
The main provincial inspector of Kasaï Central 1, Pierre Daniel Kasongo, for his part, gave some advice to the candidates to pass the tests. He called for discipline and avoidance of cheating and fraud, as well as readability of responses.
This exam launch ceremony was held at the Diakaja Primary School, in the Commune of Katoka.
Beyond the launch of this review, the situation in the DRC remains worrying, particularly in terms of security, with terrorist attacks that continue to hit the country. At the same time, citizen movements denounce the government’s forcing in the electoral process, even calling for the suspension of the bill on the distribution of seats. Finally, the economic question is also topical, with a stabilization of the Congolese franc on the official foreign exchange market, but persistent problems on the informal market.
