Jean Marc Kabund: Opening of his trial at the Court of Cassation on August 7, 2023
National deputy Jean Marc Kabund will be tried at the Court of Cassation on Monday August 7, 2023. This is the start of the investigation of his trial on the merits, where he is notably accused of insulting the Head of State and of propagation of false noises.
In his political camp, we denounce a political trial aimed at dismissing Jean Marc Kabund, declared candidate in the presidential election scheduled for December 20.
The Alliance for Change, the political party of Jean Marc Kabund, was not allowed to compete in the elections, which reinforces suspicions of a political score settling.
The situation is all the more tense as the secretary general of the party, Belly Mutondo Chabua, will hold a press conference this Wednesday at the headquarters of the Alliance for Change to express his dissatisfaction with this situation.
