2023-06-03 – A delegation from Kinshasa is currently in Isiro to set up a Provincial Human Rights Division there. This mission was led by Mrs Joséphine, head of delegation, and was received by the provincial Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Martin Aladro Komande. During this meeting, discussions mainly focused on the need to implement an operational division while respecting the organization chart existing in all the other provinces, while providing executives and agents with fixed salaries, thus ensuring their institutional recognition.
With this in mind, the head of delegation handed over vademecums written in three languages - French, Lingala and Swahili – for better popularization of the laws and awareness of the population on their legitimate rights.
This mission is an important step forward in terms of respect for human rights in the province of Haut-Uele and the mechanization of the actors involved in this field.
