This suspension of Boss Mining’s mining activities is an important decision for the protection of the environment in the DRC, but it also underlines the need to put in place stricter regulations for the protection of the environment. Local communities must also be taken into account in the development process of mining activities to avoid harmful consequences for their health and well-being.
