Introduction :
The academic transport system in the Democratic Republic of Congo is experiencing a new boom with the establishment of Trans Academia. This company, presented at the 106th meeting of the Council of Ministers by the President of the Republic Félix Tshisekedi, aims to facilitate student access to means of transport by setting up an efficient system based on new technologies. An optimized transport system:
One of the key objectives of Trans Academia is to provide optimal access to buses for students by leveraging new technologies. President Tshisekedi stresses the importance of setting up bus access control equipment based on new technologies. This will ensure that only genuine students benefit from this service and prevent abuse or fraud. The use of a national database listing all students, supplied by universities and higher institutes, will facilitate the monitoring and management of users of the academic transport service.

Consolidation of student data:
As part of this initiative, the Minister of Higher and University Education has been tasked with bringing together databases of students from all universities and higher institutes in the country. This data will be consolidated in a national database in order to have accurate and up-to-date information on all Congolese students. This database will serve as a reference for the allocation of means of transport to students and will also make it possible to improve the planning of services according to the real needs of students in each region.

Trans Academia buses for the 2023-2024 academic year:
President Tshisekedi insisted on the need to make available to Trans Academia the financial means necessary for the acquisition of bus access control equipment and the circulation of the first 120 buses registered in the first phase of the project. , from the next academic year. This measure aims to offer, from the following school year, an efficient and adapted transport service to Congolese students, thus helping to facilitate their journeys between their place of residence and their educational establishment.
