On Sunday, July 29, 2023, the final of the “Marie Olive Lembe Kabila” football tournament took place at the OKAL field in Lingwala. The tournament, organized in honor of Marie Olive Lembe, brought together more than 50 men’s teams.

The final pitted FC Pascal from Tshangu against Masina, dressed in red, and KAJ Sport from Lukunga against Lingwala, dressed in blue. After 90 minutes of intense play, the two teams split on a par, which required a penalty shootout to decide between them.

The tournament organizer, Grandpa TAMBA the Archangel, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of this first men’s edition. He stressed that the objective was to promote Congolese football by detecting new talents. He also plans to expand the tournament to other provinces in the country.
