Basketball: The Ladies Leopards of the DRC lose to the Cedars of Lebanon
As part of the women’s basketball tournament, the Leopards ladies of the DRC suffered a defeat against the Cedars of Lebanon. This match, which took place at the twin gymnasiums of the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa, ended with a score of 53 baskets to 61 in favor of the Lebanese team.
Despite their efforts, the Leopards failed to take advantage of their opponents. The Cedars of Lebanon showed great mastery and knew how to capitalize on the defensive weaknesses of the Congolese team.
In parallel, other meetings also took place during this day of competition. The Teranga Lionesses of Senegal won a resounding victory against the Black Diablesses of Congo Brazzaville with a score of 95 baskets to 18. For their part, Romania dominated Chad with a score of 125 baskets to 43.
In Group A, Lebanon currently sit first in the partial standings with 6 points, followed closely by DRC and Romania, both with 3 points. Chad brings up the rear with two defeats in two outings.
