“Start of the Francophone Games in Kinshasa: an artistic and cultural explosion!”

The 9th Francophone Games began in Kinshasa with intense cultural activity. On the program for Saturday, rehearsals and competitions in different artistic disciplines. Among these, ball juggling generated a lot of enthusiasm, while hip-hop dancers trained on Place de l’Échangeur, where their competitions will take place in the coming days.

The artistic part of the Games also took place at the National Museum of the DRC as well as at the French Institute in Kinshasa, where the activities of painting, sculpture, photography and digital creation were distributed. Participating artists exhibited their works and this exhibition continues until August 6, the closing date of activities.

In the discipline of digital creation, the Congolese Paul Malaba successfully presented his production at the French Institute of Kinshasa, thus testifying to the creativity and talent of local artists.

The evening ended on a high note with a storytelling competition at the Center Wallonie-Bruxelles, where five artists presented their stories to an attentive audience. Storytellers representing different countries were able to share their art and culture.

The Francophone Games offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the cultural and artistic diversity of the Francophonie. Other competitions and activities are planned in the days to come, and it is certain that spectators will continue to experience intense and rewarding moments.
