The Games of La Francophonie, an opportunity to unite for the DRC
In a context of conflicts and crises, the Games of La Francophonie currently taking place in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, offer an opportunity for the country to show its unity and its ability to overcome differences. This is at least the opinion of Seth Kikuni, national president of the political party Piste pour l’Emergence.
According to him, these games are an opportunity to remind the Congolese of the principles and values that unite them, such as discipline, team spirit, mutual respect, fair play, friendship, tolerance, humility and a sense of honor. He thus underlines the need to highlight these values not only in the context of sports competitions, but also in everyday life.
Seth Kikuni insists that the games remind participants and spectators that it is possible to be adversaries on the field, without necessarily being enemies. He also recalls that Congolese youth, often stigmatized, deserves special attention and must be considered a priority for all.
The national president of the Piste pour l’Emergence expresses his support for the Congolese athletes involved in the Games of La Francophonie and encourages them to make their country dream throughout this competition. He sees these games as an opportunity to show the world the strength of Congolese unity and pride.
In conclusion, the Francophone Games are more than just a sporting event for the DRC. They provide an opportunity for unity and national pride. It is through respect for values and the demonstration of fair play that participants will truly be able to make Congolese youth shine and inspire the whole country
