“The General Inspectorate of Finance in action: A strong commitment for the success of the program of 145 territories in the DRC”

The General Inspectorate of Finance is mobilizing for the program of 145 territories in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A delegation from the IGF, led by Victor Batubenga Pandamadi, went to Mbuji-Mayi, in the Orientale province, to assess the progress of this flagship program of the Head of State Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi.

During their visit, Victor Batubenga and his team met with the Attorney General of the province, Maurice Kama, to discuss the constraints encountered on the ground and to find solutions to facilitate the implementation of the program. According to Victor Batubenga, it was essential to make a point with the local judicial authorities to unblock the situations and ensure the smooth running of the program.

Prior to this trip, Victor Batubenga had already assessed the mission of finance inspectors in the province and gave new directives to improve their efficiency.

The 145 territories program is an ambitious project aimed at developing the different regions of the DRC. It aims to improve the living conditions of the populations, to promote economic and social development, as well as to strengthen local administration. It represents a priority for the Congolese government, and the IGF plays a key role in its monitoring and evaluation.

This visit by the IGF to Mbuji-Mayi demonstrates the Congolese government’s commitment to implementing this program and ensuring its success. It also demonstrates the importance given to transparency and the sound management of public funds.
