DRC Women’s Basketball Leopards thrash Chad in opening match at Francophonie Games

The Leopards basketball ladies of the DRC shone in their opening match at the Francophonie games held in Kinshasa. Against Chad, the Congolese won a resounding victory with a score of 52 to 5. This performance places them at the top of group A, tied on points with Lebanon, which also won its match against Romania.

In Group B, Congo Brazzaville also won with a big victory over Haiti with a score of 20 to 0.

The Senegalese showed their superiority against Benin with a landslide victory of 92 to 29.

For the next day of the Francophonie Games, Chad will face Lebanon in Group A, while the DRC will face Romania. In Group B, Benin will play against Congo Brazzaville and Senegal will face Haiti.

These good results suggest a thrilling competition for the rest of the Francophonie games. All eyes will be on the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa for the opening ceremony to be held on Friday 28 July.
