In the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the populations are once again hit by terrorist acts. Indeed, an attack carried out by the terrorists of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in the village Tingwe caused the death of 10 civilians including 2 women last week. The bodies, which were buried by a group of young people accompanied by army soldiers, were in an advanced state of decomposition, thus amplifying the horror of the event. The population of Tingwe and Canaan is in panic over the precarious security situation in the region.
The local authorities encourage the population to denounce any suspicious movement of the jihadists to the security services. Indeed, the need for increasing patrols of combatants in surrounding villages is now more necessary than ever, while the fight against these armed groups remains a major challenge for the security forces.
These terrorist attacks perpetrated by the ADF in the DRC have become recurrent, despite the feat of the army which succeeded in killing four elements of this rebellion in the Rwenzori sector last week. This tragedy in the region once again reinforces the need for a more effective intervention by the DRC authorities to guarantee the safety of the populations, while violence is intensifying in many other provinces of the country.
Fighting against armed groups is a priority for the DRC, as this will not only guarantee the security of the populations, but also create an environment conducive to the development of the country and improve the living conditions of the Congolese. Concrete actions must be taken to effectively eradicate the armed groups plaguing the eastern DRC, and this must not be a task for a single sector, but a real overall mission for the security forces and the authorities. country local
