Launch of the civil service web portal in the DRC: A step towards the modernization of the administration
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) continues to innovate and modernize its public administration. In this perspective of speed and transparency of the work of State agents, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Civil Service, Jean Pierre Lihau, recently launched the web portal of the civil service, called “Public Service na Tshombo”. This digital application allows civil servants to access their general situation, in the desire to digitize the country’s public administration.
This initiative is also in line with the vision of the Congolese head of state, who makes it a point of honor to modernize the country’s public administration. Jean Pierre Lihau stressed the importance of this portal in improving the quality of public services and facilitating access to information for citizens, agents and public administration executives.
The public service web portal offers several functionalities to civil servants and managers, allowing them to submit problems by attaching the necessary documents, but above all to follow the processing of their file in real time, without having to physically travel. It thus aims to dematerialize administrative procedures, promote transparency and facilitate communication.
The Minister of Public Service has appealed to all Congolese state officials to use this secure and practical innovation, which will considerably simplify their administrative tasks.
This launch of the civil service web portal in the DRC marks an important step in the modernization of the country’s public administration. By promoting the digitization of procedures, it contributes to improving the efficiency and transparency of the administration, thus offering a better quality public service to citizens. This progress testifies to the Congolese government’s desire to adapt to technological developments and to put in place modern tools at the service of civil servants and the population in general. The na Tshombo civil service web portal is thus a promising initiative for the future of public administration in the DRC
