“The Republican Guard of Kinshasa demonstrates its strength during an endurance march through the city”

The soldiers of the Republican Guard (GR) never cease to amaze with their dedication and their physical preparation. This Saturday, July 22, they organized an endurance march through the city of Kinshasa, thus demonstrating their physical fitness and their determination to ensure the safety of the Head of State and the country’s institutions.

What is remarkable in this initiative is that this march, usually organized inside military camps, took place through the arteries of the capital. The soldiers walked through armored regimes, equipped with heavy and light war machines, in combat dress.

This endurance march was intended both to maintain their physical condition and to deter any ill-intentioned person. Republican Guard soldiers are known to be combative at the front and act as a last resort when other security forces struggle to restore order.

The route of the march included two starting sites: the Ngaba roundabout and the Limete interchange. The columns of soldiers then deployed across the city, crossing neighborhoods such as Mont Ngafula, UPN, Lumumba and June 30 boulevards, before reaching their base, the Tshatshi camp.

It is important to note that despite the presence of soldiers in the streets of Kinshasa, the population was asked not to be afraid. This endurance march was above all a routine exercise for the soldiers, aimed at maintaining their level of readiness and guaranteeing everyone’s safety.

This event highlights the importance of the physical and mental preparation of security forces. By organizing this march through the city, the Republican Guard also recalls its essential role in the protection of institutions and the Head of State.

In conclusion, the endurance march of the soldiers of the Republican Guard in Kinshasa testifies to their dedication and their will to remain ready to face any situation. This initiative also reminds us of the importance of supporting our security forces and recognizing their work in preserving peace and security in our country
