New appointment of heads of sectors in North Kivu in the DRC: a step towards stability and development in the region

In a decree published on July 18, 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior, Security and Customary Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo announced the appointment of new heads of sectors in the territory of Beni, located in the province of North Kivu. This measure aims to strengthen the local administration and promote the development of the region.

In the Ruwenzori sector, Kasereka Mapathi Japhet succeeds Mr. Boozi Sindiwako Bin Vuhaka, who held this position for more than 12 years. This appointment marks the beginning of a new era for the sectoral administration of Ruwenzori, with the hope of seeing progress in the management of local affairs.

In the Beni-Mbau sector, Kakule Bulembo Pascal takes the reins, replacing Paluku Lumande Remy. This transition of leadership within the sectoral administration of Beni-Mbau opens new perspectives for the social and economic development of the region.

The appointment of these new heads of sectors is part of a broader dynamic to strengthen local administration in North Kivu. These leaders will be responsible for ensuring good governance, the security of populations and the development of the sectors for which they are responsible.

This new stage in the management of the sectors of North Kivu is essential for the stability and the development of the region. Indeed, a strong and committed administration is the essential basis for ensuring the safety of populations, encouraging investment and promoting local economic development.

It is important to emphasize that the heads of sectors appointed in the provinces under a state of siege will take office after the lifting of this exceptional measure. This demonstrates the Congolese government’s desire to restore peace and security in these areas, an essential prerequisite for any sustainable development.

In conclusion, the appointment of new heads of sectors in North Kivu in the DRC is a crucial step to strengthen local administration, ensure the security of populations and promote the development of the region. Let’s hope that these leaders will be able to demonstrate commitment and competence to carry out their mission and contribute to the development of the communities they serve.
