The filing of candidacies for the election of national deputies in the Democratic Republic of Congo is coming to an end. The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) reminds independent candidates, political parties and political groups of the importance of filing their applications within the set deadlines.
The CENI informs that the closing of the submission of applications will take place this Sunday, July 23 at 4:30 p.m. in all BRTCs across the country. She therefore invites all latecomers to respect the deadline and submit their applications on time.
The CENI rapporteur, Patricia Nseya, also outlines the next steps in the process of processing applications for national deputy. From July 24 to 28, it will be possible to add, remove or replace files of national deputy candidates. On August 9, the provisional lists of national MP candidates will be published, followed by the filing and processing of appeals challenging the lists of candidates from August 10 to 26. Finally, the final lists of national MP candidates will be published on September 10, 2023.
It is therefore essential for independent candidates, political parties and political groups to respect the deadlines set by the CENI in order to guarantee their participation in the election of national deputies.
This political event is crucial for the future of the country, because it will allow citizens to choose their representatives in the National Assembly. Democratic elections are the foundation of a strong and participatory political system, and it is essential that all actors respect the rules established by the CENI.
The DRC is a country with a diverse political landscape, where different parties and political groupings seek to make themselves heard. This election will be an opportunity for candidates to present their programs and ideas to contribute to the development of the country.
It now remains for independent candidates, political parties and political groups to finalize their candidacy files and submit them within the time limits. The CENI plays a key role in organizing this electoral process and will ensure that everything is carried out in a transparent and fair manner.
The next few months will therefore be crucial for the DRC, with the announcement of the provisional lists, the processing of appeals and finally the publication of the final lists of national MP candidates. Voters will then be responsible for choosing their representatives in full knowledge of the facts, by evaluating the programs and visions of the candidates.
The election of national deputies is an important step in building a solid democracy in the DRC. It will give a voice to the population and guarantee fair representation in the National Assembly.. Let us therefore remain attentive to the evolution of this electoral process and let us fully commit ourselves to building a better future for our country.
