Kinshasa, July 20, 2023 – Deputy Divisional Commissioner Blaise Mbula Kilimba Limba, recently appointed Police Commander of the city of Kinshasa, made his first official outing today alongside the President of the Republic Félix Tshisekedi. This exit marks the beginning of the mandate of the new police commander, who is committed to ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of Kinshasa and to fighting crime in the Congolese capital.

This first public appearance of Deputy Commissioner Blaise Mbula Kilimba Limba took place during the launch of the construction works of the Cité de Métiers “Musala”, a project entirely financed by the Belgian Embassy in Kinshasa. This city of trades will be erected within the agricultural institution of Mombele and aims to offer vocational training to young people aged 15 to 25 in order to reduce the unemployment rate in the city.

During this event, Deputy Commissioner Blaise Mbula Kilimba Limba demonstrated his professionalism by ensuring an effective security system around the President of the Republic. The latter expressed his confidence in the new police commander, stressing his commitment to tracking down the “Kulunas” and to making Kinshasa a secure city.

Blaise Mbula Kilimba Limba, a devout Christian and proven intellectual, is known for his integrity and poise. He has many challenges ahead of him in this cosmopolitan capital, especially in anticipation of the upcoming elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The project to build the “Musala” trades center is part of the Kin-Emploi program, with an estimated cost of 10,000,000 euros. This initiative aims to combat youth unemployment by offering vocational training adapted to the needs of the labor market.
