Jean-Claude Lubamba Mutombo, provincial deputy elected on the UDPS/Tshisekedi list in 2018 and vice-governor of Lomami, recently submitted his candidacy for national deputy in the electoral district of Mwene-Ditu. His candidacy is under the banner of Udps mosaic, which comes under the name “Alliance for triple A and Allies” (A.3.A).
The triple A represents a political party created by the Udps, to which Jean-Claude Lubamba is affiliated. He is keen to show the colors and emblems of the presidential party during his election campaign.
However, this candidacy has created a division among Udps activists and sympathizers in Mwene-Ditu. Indeed, Charles Guillaume Mpunga Mushamusha, member of Udps Tshisekedi and already elected national deputy in 2018 on the same list, is also running for the same seat.
Faced with this delicate situation, Jean-Claude Lubamba called on his voters to show cohesion and tolerance during this electoral period. It is essential for the members of the UDPS to remain united despite the differences and to support the candidate who will best represent their interests.
This internal competition within the UDPS testifies to the importance attached to this election and the will of the candidates to best represent their party and their voters. The electoral district of Mwene-Ditu will be the scene of an important political battle and the results of this election will have an impact on the local political landscape
