The Francophonie Games in Kinshasa: Preparations are underway!
Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is in full swing as preparations for the 9th Games of La Francophonie are in full swing. These games, which will bring together more than 3,000 athletes and artists from some forty countries, promise to be an unforgettable event combining sports competitions and artistic performances.
As part of these games, the wrestling training camp has been opened and is already hosting several delegations, including that of Niger. Niger’s national wrestling coach, Manzo Mahamoud, spoke about the good reception conditions they encountered and their ambitions for these games. They came with a delegation of five athletes, ready to fight and become champions in the French-speaking world.
The training camp also hosts other delegations including Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Chad, Ivory Coast and of course the host country DRC with a delegation of 30 athletes. The other countries are expected soon, thus creating an international and competitive atmosphere on site.
The infrastructures are ready to welcome the various sports disciplines, while artists are preparing to give captivating cultural performances. The organizers are fully committed to the success of the event and do everything possible to ensure that the Games of La Francophonie in Kinshasa are a real success.
This is a unique opportunity for the DRC to show its vitality, its dynamism and its talent on the international scene. These games also provide an opportunity to strengthen ties between French-speaking countries and promote the cultural diversity that characterizes them.
