“Festiras 2023: La Fouine, MPR, Yekima de Bel’Art and many others are among the renowned artists expected for a second unmissable edition of the Rap and Slam festival in Bukavu”

The Rap and Slam Festival “Festiras” returns for a second edition to Bukavu in South Kivu. This event will bring together thousands of rap and slam lovers from July 28 to 29, 2023 at Alfajiri College. Among the expected artists, La Fouine, MPR, Yekima de Bel’Art and other renowned figures will come to animate this celebration of public speaking at the heart of change.

The presence of La Fouine, a Franco-Moroccan artist, will undoubtedly be a highlight of this event. Known for her titles such as “Tous les memes” and “Quand je partir”, La Fouine will know how to ignite the public of Bukavu with her varied repertoire.

The MPR duo, composed of Yuma Dash and Zozo Machine, will also be present to delight the spectators with their committed works, addressing the daily life of the average Congolese. Titles such as “Malembe” and “Lobela ye Français” will resonate in the ears of the public.

Yekima de Bel’Art, nicknamed “Le Poésident”, will also be there to mix business with pleasure. This versatile artist created AFROSLAM, a musical style mixing poetry, Afro-Congolese sounds, RnB and rap. His songs such as “I present to you Knshasa” and “Le tour du monde de la Francophonie” have met with great success and have been acclaimed by the international media.

Other talented artists such as Bolivar Mvulu and Afande Ready will complete the guest list, promising two days of extraordinary music and poetry.

Festiras 2023 is more than just a music festival, it aims to mobilize young people around culture, civic education, social cohesion and living together. Alongside the concerts, activities such as a guided tour of Kahuzi National Park and dialogues with students, artists and activists will be organised.
