Me Sekera Kivwasuvwamo, lawyer and political activist, has submitted his candidacy for the next elections in Butembo, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He represents the AV political grouping, which is part of the Christian Democracy and Federalist-Nyamwisi (DCF-N). But his candidacy is not limited to simple electoral participation. He carries in him the will to solve several problems which affect the city of Butembo.
Among these problems, Me Sekera Kivwasuvwamo highlights the poor state of urban roads and problems related to electrical energy. In particular, he denounces the fact that the company Énergie du Kivu (ENK), which supplies electricity to Butembo, rents meters to consumers, which he says is unacceptable. He also wants to fight against the insalubrity that is rampant in the city and to take an interest in the situation of the displaced persons who live there.
The lawyer says he is committed to these cases and is already taking action to advance these causes. He has tabled bills concerning the massacres, is on trial with the ENK company and is taking action to improve the health of the city. He also highlights the problems with REGIDESO, another electricity company, and the unfair billing of students for the internet connection they never used.
Beyond his local commitments, Me Sekera Kivwasuvwamo wishes to contribute to solving the broader problems affecting the Democratic Republic of Congo. His candidacy is therefore motivated by the desire to get things done and to represent the interests of the people of Butembo.
By submitting his candidacy, Me Sekera Kivwasuvwamo shows his determination to get involved politically and to defend the interests of his city. His approach demonstrates his commitment to the city of Butembo and his desire to make a real difference. Let’s hope that his candidacy meets a favorable hearing and that he can carry out his projects to improve the lives of the inhabitants of Butembo
