Revolutionizing the harmonization of the statutes of DGDA agents: A priority for the Congolese civil service
The General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA) and the Congolese civil service met this Wednesday, July 12 to address the crucial issue of harmonizing the status of agents and executives of the DGDA. This meeting marks an important step in the modernization and development of public administration in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
During the opening of the work, Bernard Kabese, Director General of the DGDA, underlined the importance of taking decisions that respect the legal and regulatory framework in force. He also expressed his support for the modernization of public administration advocated by President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
The work of this commission aims to harmonize the status of agents and executives of the DGDA in order to include them in the general system of the civil service. This harmonization will clarify the rights and duties of DGDA agents, while preserving their acquired rights.
Benoît Patrice Tupa, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Public Service, stressed during his representation at the meeting that this harmonization would make it possible to solve the existing problems with the internal numbers of the DGDA. He also underlined the importance of a thorough reading of the legal and regulatory provisions in force to determine the breaking points and harmonization to be adopted.
