Public sector students, subscribers to the Trans Academia transport service, express their dissatisfaction with the lack of punctuality and the complexity of this service. The Mbudi-Ifasic, Mikondo-Ifasic, Matete-Isp and Pascal-Isp lines are particularly affected, causing delays to classes.
An IFASIC finalist student, who preferred to remain anonymous, said: “It’s almost every day that I arrive late at the Institute because of the lack of punctuality of the buses. I am often on time at district 1 to wait for the bus which often arrives an hour later”.
Another student, residing in Matete, expresses his disappointment: “Personally, I am starting to regret it. If Trans Academia does not improve its services, I will be forced to unsubscribe”.
Trans Academia, a public company responsible for transporting students from universities and public institutes, was launched a few months ago in Kinshasa. However, the students are asking the company to increase the number of buses and improve operation to avoid problems and allow subscribers to travel in good conditions.
It is obvious that the repeated delays and complications encountered by students during their travels affect their daily lives and compromise their attendance in higher education institutions. It is important that Trans Academia meets student expectations by improving the quality of its services and providing a smoother and more reliable transportation experience.
Trans Academia should take student concerns into account and work with them to find solutions that meet their needs. A good transportation service is essential to ensure the smooth running of studies and promote the academic success of students.
Hopefully, Trans Academia will take the necessary steps to improve its services and meet student expectations to ensure efficient and punctual transportation for all
