“The National Assembly grants an envelope of 100,000 dollars to the Congolese armed forces to strengthen security in the province of Ituri”

The Congolese armed forces (FARDC) benefit from financial support from the National Assembly to strengthen their operational capacity in the province of Ituri. An envelope of US$100,000 was handed over by the provincial parliamentarian caucus to the military governor, on behalf of the Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament.

This contribution aims to support the efforts of the FARDC in their fight against the armed groups active in the region. The soldiers engaged in Ituri and North Kivu continue to hunt down foreign and local rebels, with the aim of restoring the authority of the State.

The delivery of this envelope constitutes an important aid for the military operations in progress. Donations and contributions are essential to enable the FARDC to carry out their mission and restore peace in the region. Lieutenant-General Luboya N’kashama, who received this envelope, pledged to use the money for the cause of peace in Ituri.

The security situation in the DRC remains worrying, with the persistent presence of armed groups which destabilize the region. This is why the financial support of the National Assembly is of capital importance to strengthen the capacities of the Congolese armed forces and help them carry out their mission of protecting populations and defending the territory.

The Congolese people expressed their support for the military and called for strong measures to put an end to the activism of armed groups and the resulting insecurity. Ongoing military operations aim to restore stability and restore state authority, thereby enabling local communities to live in peace in their villages and lands.

It is essential to emphasize that the FARDC cannot put an end to the security crisis on their own. Political, economic and social efforts are also needed to address the root causes of the conflict and foster sustainable development in the region.

In conclusion, the National Assembly’s financial support for the Congolese armed forces demonstrates the Congolese government’s commitment to the fight against armed groups and to the restoration of peace and stability in the DRC. However, it is important to continue to mobilize all actors, both nationally and internationally, in order to put an end to insecurity and create the conditions for a peaceful and prosperous future for the entire Congolese population
