Public sector students in Kinshasa have expressed their dissatisfaction with the transport service provided by the company “Trans Academia”. These students, subscribers to this transport company, encounter problems of delays, complexity of procedures and cumbersome service, which results in late arrivals to classes.
The lines affected by these problems are Mbudi-Ifasic, Mikondo-Ifasic, Matete-Isp and Pascal-Isp. The students expressed their frustrations to the editorial staff of CONGOPROFOND.NET, pointing out the lack of punctuality of the buses. Some students claim to have to wait up to an hour to board the bus, which leads to frequent delays.
One student, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “It’s almost every day that I arrive late at the Institute because of the lack of punctuality of the buses. I often arrive on time at the district 1 to wait for the bus which often arrives an hour later”. Another student, residing in Matete, also expressed his disappointment saying: “Personally, I am starting to regret a lot. If Trans Academia does not improve its services, I will be forced to unsubscribe”.
Trans Academia is a public company responsible for transporting students from universities and public higher institutes. However, the students are asking the managers of this company to increase the number of buses and improve the quality of service in order to avoid these inconveniences and allow subscribers to travel in good conditions. They also underline the increase in the number of beneficiaries on these lines, which requires better adaptation.
It is therefore important for Trans Academia to take these complaints into account in order to improve the quality of its service and meet student expectations. Better management of timetables, simplification of procedures and an increase in the number of buses will contribute to satisfying subscribers and guaranteeing their attendance on time for lessons.
The Transport Company “Trans Academia” has a key role to play in the life of students and it is essential to put in place the necessary measures to ensure a quality, reliable and punctual service
