France actively supports the implementation of the Luanda and Nairobi agreements in the DRC
In a recent statement, the French Ambassador in Kinshasa, Mr. Bruno AUBERT, stressed the importance of the implementation of the Luanda and Nairobi agreements in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). During an audience with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense and Veterans Affairs, Jean-Pierre Bemba, Mr. AUBERT declared that these agreements should be an “absolute priority”.
The Luanda roadmap, which aims to end the conflicts in eastern DRC, must serve as a guide for all actions undertaken. Mr. AUBERT welcomed the ongoing diplomatic mobilization efforts and announced France’s participation in a meeting in Goma as an observer. He also stressed the importance of military and defense cooperation between France and the DRC.
