Faith Word In action, a citizen structure committed to the development and empowerment of young women and girls, recently organized a workshop in Kinshasa. The objective of this workshop was to carry out the annual review of FWA, in order to assess the progress made and to plan activities for the coming year.
Funded by partners such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, Faith Word In action brought its members together at this workshop to review achievements and challenges encountered over the previous year. Emphasis was placed on reviewing the programmatic and financial execution of activities, as well as the key results expected for each member.
Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In action, stressed the importance of this workshop to take stock of the achievements and constraints, while planning actions for the coming year. She also reminded that FWA partners are free to undertake activities outside of the STITCH project, but that the scope of this workshop was focused on this specific project.
The objective of this workshop was also to promote exchanges between the various partners, in order to get to know each other better and to help each other in the pursuit of common objectives. Each participant had the opportunity to share their experiences and achievements, both within the framework of the STITCH project and in other projects carried out in collaboration with Oxfam and FEMNET.
Faith Word In action has been present in the Democratic Republic of Congo for almost four years, and is one of the Congolese members of FEMNET involved in the STITCH project. This annual review will strengthen collaboration between the various partners, in order to continue to support the development and empowerment of young Congolese women and girls.
In summary, this workshop organized by Faith Word In action allowed to evaluate the achievements of the previous year and to plan the activities to come. Thanks to the participation of various partners, this annual review has fostered exchanges and collaboration between actors involved in the development and empowerment of young women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo
