Faith Word In action, a grassroots organization funded by organizations such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, recently met in Kinshasa for its annual review workshop. The purpose of this event was to take stock of the activities carried out during the year and to prepare the work plan for the coming year.
The workshop allowed participants to take stock of achievements and failures, to assess the relevance of the results obtained and to analyze the new challenges facing the organization. This annual review is essential to ensure the success and effectiveness of the projects implemented by Faith Word In action.
Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In action, underlined the importance of this workshop and encouraged participants to share their knowledge and experiences in order to better understand each other and help each other in their progress. She recalled that Faith Word In action works on various projects outside of the STITCH project, and that each partner is free to carry out their own activities while collaborating closely with Oxfam and FEMNET.
Faith Word In action has been established in the Democratic Republic of Congo for almost four years and is one of the Congolese FEMNET members participating in the STITCH project in seven African countries. The organization actively works to empower young women and girls to take on leadership roles in their communities.
This annual review workshop will allow Faith Word In action to strengthen its activities and better respond to the needs of the communities it serves. By taking a clear stock of past achievements and building on lessons learned, the organization will be able to develop a solid and effective work plan for the coming year.
Faith Word In action thus continues to play a crucial role in the development and empowerment of young women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Through strong partnerships with organizations such as Oxfam and FEMNET, it actively contributes to building a better and more equal future for all
