Today’s article takes us to the province of Mongala, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Civil Service, Jean-Pierre Lihau, expressed his concern at the growing insecurity in the town of Bumba.
In a speech to the population, J.P.Lihau called on the inhabitants to collaborate with the Congolese national police to denounce the suspects as well as the perpetrators of these acts of insecurity. He promised that all necessary measures would be taken to eradicate this insecurity and punish the sponsors and the perpetrators of these acts which disturb the tranquility of the inhabitants of Bumba.
The Deputy Prime Minister also took the opportunity to recall the importance of unity and democratic election in the country. He urged people to see the upcoming elections in December as a time of coming together and to reject any form of division or tribalism. According to him, it is through elections that the Congolese people choose their leaders and it is therefore time to make a wise choice for the development of the country.
Jean-Pierre Lihau then mobilized his political base to support and work in close collaboration with the authorities of the province in order to grant a second mandate to the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi.
