Annual review of Faith Word In action: Review of achievements and planning for the future

News: Faith Word In action provides an update on its activities during its annual review workshop

Faith Word In action, a citizen structure funded by organizations such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, recently met in Kinshasa for a workshop focusing on its annual review. This event provided an opportunity to take stock of the programmatic and financial execution of Faith Word In action activities, while highlighting the progress made towards the expected results.

During this meeting, Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In action, underlined the importance of this workshop to take stock of the achievements and the constraints encountered. It also allows to assess the relevance of the defined results, to examine major developments and new challenges, and to plan activities for the coming year.

“It is essential to review all our activities of the past year, identifying the positive aspects as well as the failures encountered. This goes beyond the STITCH project alone, as each partner is free to carry out their own activities. We We also provided the opportunity for our partners to share their achievements outside of the STITCH project with Oxfam and FEMNET,” said Ms. Anifa Kalombola.

It should be recalled that Faith Word In action has been operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo for almost four years and is committed to the development and empowerment of young women and girls, so that they can take on leadership roles within their communities. As a member of FEMNET, Faith Word In action participates in the STITCH project in seven African countries, alongside CONAFED.

This annual review workshop is therefore an opportunity for Faith Word In action to reflect on past achievements, learn from failures, and reinvigorate its work plan for the coming year. This move demonstrates the organization’s commitment to promoting the development and empowerment of young women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo
