Faith Word In Action (FWA), a grassroots organization specializing in the development and empowerment of young women and girls, recently held a workshop in Kinshasa to review its annual review. The objective of this workshop was to assess the progress made and the challenges encountered throughout the year, in order to reinvigorate the work plan for the coming year.
Funded by partners such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, FWA has been working actively for almost four years in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its main objective is to enable women and girls to play a leadership role within their communities.
During the workshop, Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In Action, underlined the importance of drawing up a complete account of the achievements and the challenges encountered. She encouraged participants to share their experiences and discuss the activities carried out within the framework of the STITCH project, as well as other individual projects carried out by the partners.
It should be noted that FWA works in collaboration with CONAFED and other Congolese organizations within the framework of the STITCH project, which aims to empower women in seven African countries.
This workshop thus made it possible to strengthen the links between the partners, to exchange knowledge and to help each other to promote a positive development in their respective projects.
Faith Word In Action continues to play a vital role in the development and empowerment of women and girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Through its partnerships and activities focused on women’s leadership, the organization helps create more equal and inclusive communities.
