The Kinshasa cable car: a solution to alleviate traffic jams
In an effort to alleviate road congestion problems plaguing Kinshasa, the Congolese government recently launched a project to build a cable car in the capital. Announced for commissioning from July 2023, work has begun and the Ministers of Regional Planning, Guy Loando Mboyo, and Finance, Nicolas Kazadi, visited the sites where the stations of this means of air Transport.
During their inspection, the ministers began their visit to the site of the Triangle station, located in the commune of Lemba. They then visited the School of Public Health at the University of Kinshasa, followed by the entrance to the establishment, to end their journey in Mbanza Lemba. By entrusting the construction to the Turkish company “Milvest”, a supply engineering contract was officially signed last June. According to the firm’s assurances, a large part of the project should be delivered by December 2023.
