The presidential election of 2023 in the DRC is already at the center of the debates. Delly Sesanga, declared candidate for this election, recently criticized the declaration of the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, on the security of the country. He believes that disregard for the constitution and laws is the biggest threat to the security and stability of the country, adding that any other reference to defend it is an abuse of power.
These remarks raised many reactions in the opposition camp, in particular among the Democrats who call for increased vigilance to guarantee strict respect for the constitution and the laws of the Republic. According to Delly Sesanga, there is no worse attack on the stability of the country and the security of its people than an authoritarian regime that emancipates itself from democratic principles and republican values.
The Congolese must therefore remain vigilant and united to block the way to any new dictatorial drift. To do this, democrats must firmly oppose new forms of dictatorship and seek together that rule of law to which they are committed, a state where only the constitution and the laws of the Republic dictate the conduct and actions of the leaders. .
Beyond the controversy, the DRC must face other major challenges, whether in terms of health, security or education. Indeed, the country is faced with recurrent epidemics, growing insecurity in certain regions, and an education system that is struggling to train the younger generations.
The FTM, a mining company based in the DRC, is committed to the fight against malaria through actions carried out in the schools in its concession. Diplomatic initiatives have also been launched for a lasting peace in the east of the country, where armed groups are still rampant.
The next state examination in the DRC is also a major concern, with nearly a million candidates registered this year.
Finally, the Congolese Rumba, intangible heritage of humanity, will be honored at FESPAM 2022, which will be held in the DRC.
Despite these major challenges, it is important for Congolese to remain united and optimistic about the future of their country.
