“Corruption scandal in Kongo Central: the president of the Provincial Assembly resigns”

The president of the Provincial Assembly of Kongo Central finally resigned following the petition initiated by provincial deputies targeting him. Jean-Claude Mvuemba was elected in 2020 after ousting his brother Anatole Matusila, but he would now be accused of cases of embezzlement and corruption. Allegations that may be at the origin of the motion of censure of the provincial deputies.
