Need for support for the rehabilitation of the Lualaba national roads in the DRC
The governor of the mining province of Lualaba, Fifi Masuka, pleaded for support for the rehabilitation of road infrastructure in this region. Indeed, she expressed the need for support from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works for national roads. She particularly mentioned the national number 39 which goes from the town of Kolwezi towards the territory of Dilolo on the border with Angola, as well as the national number 1 which connects the province of Lualaba to the Republic of Zambia. These roads are important to the province and require special attention.
In this plea, the governor also exposed the road problems in the province, in particular the collapse of the red bridge towards the capital of Kapanga, 48 kilometers from Msumba. According to Fifi Masuka, the province is making its own efforts but needs the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure to be able to solve the problems raised.
The Governor is happy to have had a favorable response from the Minister of State in charge of Infrastructure and Public Works, Alexis Gisaro, who promised to get involved in the rehabilitation of roads and find solutions to the problem of the collapse of the red bridge in Kapanga. National number 39 and national number 1 are currently awaiting support from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works.
The rehabilitation of the national roads of Lualaba is an important issue for the economy of the region and the whole country. This mining region needs reliable roads for the transport of goods, the mobility of people and local economic development.
In short, it is crucial that the Congolese government provide the necessary support for the rehabilitation of national roads, and in particular those in the province of Lualaba. The economic growth of the region and the country is at stake, and the safety of the citizens who use these communication channels.
