The attack caused the death of the driver of a truck, who was burned to death, and seriously injured the assistant driver and the conveyor. The attackers also took away property.

This incident shows that the security situation in this region of the DRC remains precarious despite the joint operations carried out by the FARDC and the UPDF and the efforts of the State of Siege to stabilize the situation. Local civil society is concerned about this deterioration in security and calls on the authorities to take effective measures to protect the population.

Despite the mobilization of military forces and the efforts of the State, the war continues to cause human and material damage in the DRC. The victims of this new attack reflect the exacerbated violence of the conflict.
