Curfew decreed in Kwango province due to the worrying security situation
The province of Kwango is facing a worrying security situation, which prompted the provincial security council to decree a curfew from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. This exceptional measure follows the deterioration of security in this part of Congolese territory.
The spokesperson for the provincial executive, Adélard Nkisi, called on the population to respect this measure and to stay at home during curfew hours, until the situation is under control.
The authorities also announced the dispatch of military reinforcements to restore public order and took steps to restore traffic on National Road number 1.
Faced with this situation, the local population is going through a difficult period. The inhabitants are invited to cooperate and respect the authorities to facilitate the resolution of the crisis.
This wave of violence and insecurity is recurrent in the region, forcing the authorities to take provisional measures to put an end to it. Peace and security remain the main challenges for political leaders in the region.
We are closely monitoring the situation and we hope that the competent authorities will be able to find a lasting solution to restore peace and security in the region.
