Hello and welcome to our blog, today we are going to pay tribute to Samy Mikobi, known by the nickname “The Strategist”, an emblematic figure of the Congolese showbizz scene, who left us this Thursday, May 11 in the evening.
With a frail silhouette, Samy Mikobi was an influential man in the community through his natural interpersonal skills, his ability to behave in society and to form useful relationships. Born in the commune of Bandalungwa, he studied at the Athénée de Kalina, which became the Athénée de la Gombe, where he rubbed shoulders with children from a certain class of society.
We had the opportunity to meet Samy Mikobi in the 80s in the youth circles of My campaign, where he frequented the Rodall Dambana. His friendship with Papa Wemba, the musicians as well as his loyalty to his friends, in particular the honorary Prime Minister and current vice-president of the Senate, Samy Badibanga are as many anecdotes which testify to his stature in society.
Beyond being a public man and a friend of artists, Samy Mikobi left his mark in the Belgian electrical company ACEC and in Socodam, a structure whose center of interest is customs. He was always available to help, and his professional life is marked by great feats of arms.
With his slim and well filed waist, Samy Mikobi remained himself until the end, that is to say a man who guarantees a better rendering as soon as he is entrusted with a case. His disappearance creates great emotion and leaves a great void in the Congolese show business community.
