Pope Francis has appointed Monsignor Léonard Ndjadi Ndjate as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Kisangani in the Province of Tshopo in the DRC. This appointment comes after Bishop Léonard Ndjadi served as Provincial Superior of the Congregation of Comboni Missionaries in Congo.

The National Episcopal Conference of Congo (Cenco) confirmed this appointment in a press release signed by Mgr Donatien Nshole, Secretary General. This appointment is a demonstration of the confidence that is placed in Bishop Léonard Ndjadi Ndjate, who is now called to serve the Church in a higher role.

“We are happy with this appointment and we are convinced that Archbishop Léonard Ndjadi Ndjate will be a great actor in the development of the Church in the DRC and that he will make an important contribution to the Archdiocese of Kisangani,” Bishop Nshole said.

The role of Monsignor Léonard Ndjadi Ndjate as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Kisangani will begin in the coming weeks and we look forward to all the achievements he will accomplish.
